MRI

RTEmagicC_O-scan-cover-overview-01Take Pride In Performance

O-Scan really is an outstanding advancement for the MRI field and it can show you high quality images of what is happening inside your extremities, providing the patient with the optimal experience as well as giving the doctor a clear insight into what is going on. So what is an MRI scan? MRI means magnetic resonance imaging and it basically sends out a magnetic field. This field consists of radio wave energy and it can be used to penetrate the skin, giving health professionals a clear idea of what is going on with the organs and bones in the body. With an MRI scan, you can see swelling, muscle textures, abnormalities and so much more, but with an X-Ray you are limited to seeing just the bone structures. The same concept applies to ultrasound, and for this reason, MRI is normally used to diagnose a range of hand and wrist conditions.

So how can MRI be used to diagnose wrist conditions?

When you go for an MRI scan, as mentioned above, you will be able to see any abnormalities that might be present as well as finding out what is causing the pain that you are in. On top of this, you will also find that an MRI scan can show you the exact source of the problem so you can understand your condition and what you can do to try and relieve pain for the future. Your doctor or specialist will be able to help you understand the results as well and if there aren’t any results, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t something wrong. It just means that you are going to need to undergo further testing so you can find out what is happening and what it means for you and your body.
